Mr. Jörg Denker from Kindernothilfe Germany recently visited Diakonie Kosova to discuss our partnership, which started in 2000 after the war. As we approach the end of 2024, we must face the fact that this important support will come to an end. This change will have a big impact on our organization and the communities we serve.
During his visit, Mr. Denker thanked us for the strong cooperation that has helped us carry out many valuable projects over the years. However, he also acknowledged that losing this support will create challenges for us, especially since local municipalities and the state do not provide enough funding for vocational schools.
This means that without support from Kindernothilfe, it will be harder for us to offer the educational and vocational training programs that many vulnerable people rely on.
We are committed to finding ways to adapt and continue our work, but we need to recognize the difficulties we will face. As we look to the future, we will explore new partnerships and support to keep helping individuals and communities in Kosovo. Together, we can work toward a better future, even with these challenges ahead.
